Hello Stewart Middle School Families.
Welcome to the Stewart Middle School website! We hope you check the site often and find it to be a valuable resource. Mr. Crim, Vice Principal, updates our website with the latest important dates and handouts. We send information home in the Wednesday folder weekly but you can access all of the information on this website.
The Stewart Middle School Staff has created a mission statement and motto that guides the work that we do with you, your children and the Norristown Community.
"Stewart Middle School is a community which empowers
students to achieve success, confidence, and personal growth through teaching
and learning in a nurturing environment that values family and diversity."
“Success is here for the taking!”
We are looking forward to working with you and your child so that they have a wonderful middle school experience.
The SMS Science Fair has been under way. Our Parent Faculty Club is hosting a board making event after school on Tuesday January 10th in the cafeteria. Teachers, parents and volunteers will be in the cafeteria to help you and your child complete their Science Fair Board. There will be markers, construction paper, glue, scissors and various other supplies on hand. We plan to meet in the cafeteria at dismissal and will be in the cafeteria until 4:00 PM. We hope you and your child can join us.
Arriving to school on time is of the utmost importance. This year we open our doors at 8:00 am and students must be in first period by 8:10. We no longer have homeroom so when students are late they are missing valuable instructional time. Attached to this link is our updated lateness policy. Please keep in mind that if your student has over 5 latenesses they will not be able to attend the upcoming dance.
Each month 2 students from each grade will be recognized for exemplifying our pillars of character and their dedication to academics. Please click the link to see November's winners.
Stewart is a uniform school! Please click this link for a letter detailing Stewart's uniform policy. Students are not permitted to wear hooded sweatshirts, hooded shirts or hooded sweaters. Navy and white polo shirts are still permitted this year. Dress pants, skirts, dress shorts and jumpers remain navy blue. If you have any questions please call SMS at 610-275-6870.
