Human Resources Department
The Human Resources Department is responsible for the employment of about 1000 Norristown Area School District employees. This department coordinates all personnel operations and administers non-cash benefits to all the districts’ full-time employees. NASD hires over 100 new employees each year.
The department’s mission is to provide policies, systems and programs that will enable NASD to attract, motivate, and retain employees and therefore become the Employer of Choice within the Pennsylvania Public School System. The efforts of the HR Department allow NASD employees to have the resources and opportunities to develop to the best of their abilities.
The HR Department recruits through a number of job fairs including the Annual Diversity Recruitment Fair, the Montgomery County Teacher Job Fair, and the Greater Philadelphia Teacher Job Fair each year.
