There are 850 students currently attending school in Grades 5 through 8 at the new East Norriton Middle School. They come from every area of the district and each one brings unique talents and needs to our school. We challenge all students every day to become the best that they can be in all subjects and activities. Our emphasis on academic excellence has resulted in our being recognized by the PA Department of Education with a Keystone Award for achieving adequate yearly progress (AYP) as stipulated in the No Child Left Behind Act. We have also been recognized by Standard & Poor’s Education Evaluation Services as one of only 48 schools in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania (just 1.6 percent of Pennsylvania’s 3044 schools) that has significantly narrowed the achievement gap among our sub-groups of students. More information on this may be seen at www.schoolmatters.com. We are quite proud of our school and work hard every day to live up to our motto…Pride in Accomplishment.

In addition to academic excellence, we offer our students a variety of performance programs that include Concert Band, Orchestra, Chorus, Marching Band, Drama, Jazz Band, Drumline, and Color Guard. Students in the 7th and 8th Grades are permitted by PIAA regulations to participate in the many sports teams we field: Baseball, Basketball, Field Hockey, Football, Lacrosse, Softball, Soccer, Track, Volleyball, and Wrestling. The many trophies and banners that have been won by students in these activities attest to our pursuit of excellence and sportsmanship.

East Norriton also sponsors the East Norriton Middle School Chapter of the National Junior Honor Society, recognizing and developing students who lead the way in scholarship, service, leadership, character, and citizenship.

Our mascot, the Bulldog, is known for its tenacious attitude and for never giving up. Bulldog Pride is everywhere at East Norriton, from the classroom to the stage to the athletic field. East Norriton is a place where Pride in Accomplishment is more than a motto – it’s a way of life.
