| The Communications Center at Norristown Area High School has upgraded its equipment in every facet of the studio. The new digital equipment includes a Globecaster digital switcher to enhance studio programming, professional quality Avid Editing systems, five new cameras for studio and location use, teleprompter equipment to training the talent in real studio presentation and DVD duplication equipment to enhance the center's ability to provide productions to the community. NASD-TV can be located at Channel 28 on Comcast Cable beginning November 7, 2007. The new units will enhance the quality of the programming as well as train our students on equipment used in the real production world today. The enhancements in the center have developed in tandem with a new communications curriculum and a resolve to program more information of stronger value to the community. Not only does NASD-TV present concerts, plays, sporting events and awards ceremonies but also fully student produced special, educational programming and a regular district and community news program running throughout the day. Watch NASD-TV for a myriad of regular programs including: The Eagle’s Eye- Our weekly news, information, and entertainment magazine aired Saturday and Sunday at 9 am and 9 pm. Now What! Our monthly college preparation and information program THE NAHS Sports Show: Our weekly sports program highlighting sports talk, opinion, analysis, scores and interviews. Behind The Headlines: The Times Herald and NASD-TV team up to create a biweekly news discussion about contemporary Norristown issues with Times Herald reporters as guests The County Commissioners: NASD- TV tapes, edits, and airs the Montgomery County Commissioner’s meetings twice a month. This program is broadcast on 85% of the cable systems in Montgomery County. The Eagle News- Our daily announcements aired at 8 am, 10, noon, 3:30pm and 11. Reunion Theatre: NASD-TV opens is vast video vaults to play programs from the past. Each week on Monday and Wed at 8PM, programs from our earliest days in the mid 70s right up until last year are played for a fun filled trip down memory lane. NASD-TV programming runs between 5 and 10 PM Weekdays and all day on Saturday. Programs Rotate during the school year Monday, Wednesday and Friday or Tuesdays Thursday and Sunday.
