• Dr. Nicole Poncheri

    Dr. Nicole Poncheri, Principal of Cole Manor Elementary School

    Dr. Poncheri  joined the Norristown Area School District in 2002.  She began her career in public education in the School District of Philadelphia as a Grade 1 Teacher and a Math Teacher. Dr. Poncheri moved into an Administrative position while working in Philadelphia and served in this capacity for 5 years before accepting a Principal position in the Norristown Area School District. While serving the district she has worked at the elementary level for 14 years and the middle school level for 3 years.  

    Dr. Poncheri earned a Bachelor’s degree from Temple University in Journalism and a second Bachelor’s degree from Bloomsburg University in Education. She then earned a Master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Bloomsburg University. Dr. Poncheri earned both her Principal and Supervisory certifications at St. Joseph’s University and completed her doctoral program and Superintendent’s Letter of Eligibility at Widener University in 2013 where her research focused on principals supporting new teachers. Since completing her doctoral work, Dr. Poncheri, has published several articles focusing on community partnerships and the benefit of school wide academic projects.

    Dr. Poncheri, resides in Collegeville, PA. She enjoys travel, theatre, writing and spending time with her family and pets.
