Mr. Leo Desrosiers, Director of Technology Systems
Mr. Desrosiers joined the Norristown Area School District in 2004. He began his career in public education as a technician working for the Northern Montgomery Technical Career Center in 2001. He worked for 3 years at the tech school before being hired at Norristown Area School District. Mr. Desrosiers has had many titles over his 15 years in the NASD IT Department. He started as a Helpdesk Technician for the Norristown Area High School from 2004 to 2007. In 2008 he moved on to web programming and providing phone support district-wide as the Data Integration Specialist for 5 years. In 2013, Mr. Desrosiers took on the role of Systems Integration Specialist, supporting the district servers and back-end infrastructure. At the end of 2018, he was promoted to Supervisor of Information Systems. Starting in July of 2021, He began his role as Director of Technology Services.
Mr. Desrosiers graduated from Perkiomen Valley High School and earned his Bachelor’s degree in Network and Communications Management from DeVry University in 2006.
He lives in Collegeville, PA, with his wife, Kacie, and four children. He enjoys movies, video games, all things technology, and spending time at home with his family.
Mr. David Borgo, Supervisor of Data Systems
Mr. David Borgo joined the Norristown Area School in 2009. He began his career as a Senior Programmer at Pentamation/Sungard K-12 Education. During his time there, Mr. Borgo worked for the Student State Reporting team and successfully designed, developed and supported the PIMS (Pennsylvania Information Management System) for the eSchoolPLUS Student Information System and their 37 Pennsylvania school districts. He also was in charge of the State Reporting projects for Maryland, New York and Virginia covering an additional 70 school districts. Mr. Borgo started as the Child Accounting/PIMS Coordinator upon his arrival at Norristown before transitioning to his current role.
Mr. Borgo earned his Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science from Lehigh University in 1999. His greatest professional joy is utilizing his skills of computer programming and data mining to provide meaningful data to district personnel to positively affect the lives of the children in the Norristown Area School District.
Mr. Borgo lives in Bucks County with his wife and has an adult daughter. He enjoys Reading Royals hockey, bowling, trivia and traveling to Disney parks.
