Mr. Robert Malkowki, Director of Operations
Mr. Malkowski joined the Norristown Area School District in 2005 after spending the first 16 years of his public education career with the School District of Philadelphia. He started as electrician and worked his way through the system before coming to Norristown as the Director of Building and Grounds.
Mr. Malkowski graduated from Northeast Catholic High School and Mastbaum Vocation Technical High School before earning his Bachelor’s degree from Rosemont College and a Master’s degree in Business from Holy Family University. He carries numerous licenses and certifications for Facility Management.
Mr. Timothy Orner, Transportation & Contracted Facility Services Supervisor
Mr. Orner has been with Norristown Area School District since 1987. He has held several titles in the Operations Department throughout his career at Norristown. He is a current member of PASBO (Pennsylvania Association of School Business Officials).
Mr. Orner graduated from Bishop Kenrick High School and Central Montgomery County Area Vocational Technical School. He has spent most of his life in and around Norristown Area School District. He currently resides in Harleysville, PA with his wife and two daughters.
Mr. Cecil Speights, Custodial and Maintenance Supervisor
Mr. Speights joined the Norristown Area School District in August 2012. He began his career in facilities services with the School District of Philadelphia in 1992. At the School District of Philadelphia he started as a supervisor for the custodial maintenance staff at various buildings until he was promoted in 2003 to a Facilities Area Coordinator. Then in 2011 he assumed the role of Regional Facilities Manager, which included supervising over 300 people at 70 different locations that encompassed over 5 million square feet of schools, office buildings and athletic fields.
Cecil graduated from the High School of Engineering and Science and Cecil received additional education at Pennco Technical Institute for computer technology, receiving an associates degree. He has also received various certifications and licenses to operate various boiler systems, pools and other equipment related to the managing facilities. Mr. Speights continues to receive training and instruction by attending Pioneer Service School, Kingdom Ministry School and Theocratic Ministry School. These schools have enhanced his ability to communicate, train, counsel and mentor others both in his ministry and his work with our district.
Cecil is a proud native Philadelphian but currently lives in Upper Bucks County with his wife. He spends the majority of his time involved in his ministry. He also enjoys traveling, reading and good music.
