At last evening's Regular Voting Meeting of the Board of School Directors, the Board approved a calendar change that affects the current school year. On the original calendar, there was an early dismissal day for all students scheduled for Tuesday, May 11. This early dismissal has been moved to Tuesday, May 18, to coincide with primiary election day in Pennsylvania.
For your planning purposes, please note that Tuesday, May 11, will now be a full instructional day for all students. On Tuesday, May 18, we will follow an early dismissal schedule as follows:
High School - 11:10 am dismissal
Middle School - 11:50 am dismissal
Elementary School - 12:20 pm dismissal
Additionally, to ensure the health and safety of everyone, Tuesday, May 18, will be a day of fully virtual instruction. Cohort A and students who attend four days per week will remain home. Teachers will provide fully virtual, synchronous lessons following the early dismissal schedule at each school. Though students will be virtual, all staff will work onsite on May 18. All other days that week will follow their normal schedule, including our fully virtual alternate schedule on Wednesday, May 19.
