Dr. Jeffrey Hutchinson

Principal

Dr. Jeffrey Hutchinson joined the NASD on July 1, 2019. He came to Norristown after serving as a teacher, assistant principal, and principal in Erie's Public Schools for over 18 years.

After growing up near Buffalo, NY Dr. Hutchinson earned his undergraduate degree (1995) and Master's Degree (1997) from Mercyhurst University. Dr. Hutchinson recently earned his Doctorate in Educational Leadership at Temple University. 

Mr. Robert Fisher

Interim Assistant Principal

This past year, Mr. Fisher served as Interim Principal at Hancock Elementary School. 

With over 35 years of service in the Coatesville Area School District, Mr. Fisher brings a wealth of experience in educational leadership. His career includes roles such as principal, assistant principal, and athletic director, and he has a proven track record of driving academic excellence, managing school operations, and fostering student success. Mr. Fisher has supervised and supported campus principals, ensuring consistency and quality in school management, and has played a significant role in enhancing student performance and staff development. His leadership in overseeing athletic programs has promoted student engagement and athletic achievement throughout his former district.

Earlier in his career, Mr. Fisher coordinated the Coatesville Area School District's Alternative Education Program, where he developed and implemented strategies to meet the diverse needs of students. He also taught language arts and reading at Gordon Middle School, where he fostered literacy skills and academic growth, and began his teaching career at Kings Highway Elementary School as a second-grade teacher.

In addition to his extensive experience in education, Mr. Fisher served on the Coatesville Area School District Board of School Directors from 2017 to 2023, including four years as president. During his tenure, he played a pivotal role in guiding the district through key initiatives, ensuring that the needs of a diverse community were addressed. His leadership focused on creating policies that promote equity, inclusion, and academic excellence, helping to shape a supportive and welcoming environment for all students. Mr. Fisher’s commitment to serving his community has been a cornerstone of his career, and his work on the school board further reflects his dedication to advancing educational standards and supporting student success.
