Interim Building Administrator

Dr. Queenan brings more than 30 years of experience in K–12 education, the majority of which has been spent right here in the Norristown Area School District. A proud NASD alumna, she most recently served as Principal of the Roosevelt Campus from 2013 to 2023, where she led school improvement initiatives, supported professional learning, and worked closely with families and community partners to enhance student outcomes. Her earlier years in the district included teaching high school English, mentoring student teachers, and stepping into leadership roles such as substitute principal and lead teacher.

Known for her equity-centered leadership and belief in the power of a growth mindset, Dr. Queenan has coached aspiring administrators and helped foster collaborative, student-focused school cultures. She continues to champion inclusive learning environments and values the important partnership between schools, families, and the broader community in supporting student success.

Dr. Queenan holds a Ph.D. in Educational Leadership from Penn State University, a master’s degree in English from Temple University, and a bachelor’s degree in English from Howard University. She is certified in both elementary and secondary principalship, as well as secondary English instruction in Pennsylvania.

Beyond her leadership in schools, Dr. Queenan serves as Vice President of the Norristown Area Education Foundation and as a board member for Expressive Path, a local nonprofit supporting youth arts. She enjoys reading, spending time with her family, and cheering on all things Philly sports.

NASD has always been home for Dr. Queenan, and we are confident her experience, heart for service, and deep commitment to Norristown will be a valuable asset to the Roosevelt Campus community once again.
