We're excited to invite you to the 2nd Annual NASD Back to School Bash on Thursday, August 6, 2026, from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Musselman Learning Center!

This free community event is designed to help students start the school year prepared, supported, and ready to learn. Last year's event brought together hundreds of families, students, staff, and community partners for an afternoon of fun, resources, and school readiness, and we're excited to do it again this year!

Families can look forward to:

🎒 FREE backpacks and school supplies for students in grades K-4, provided by Ostroff Godshall Injury & Accident Lawyers*
📚 FREE books provided by the Norristown Area Education Foundation (NAEF)
🍔 FREE food and ice cream provided by Ostroff Godshall
🚌 Bus Safety Tour and Safety Dog Mascot from First Student
🧑‍🧑‍🧒 Family resources from the Early Learning Resource Center (ELRC) Region 17

🚲 FREE bike helmets from Montgomery County’s Community Traffic Safety Program
🏫 Resources and activities from NASD's Teaching and Learning Team
🎨 Face painting, lawn games, and family-friendly activities
📝 ON-SITE Student Registration Support! If your child still needs to be registered for the upcoming school year, our team will be here to help

*Families are encouraged to pre-register to help us plan for backpack distribution and event-day support. Backpacks are available for children in grades K-4, and pre-registered K-4 students are guaranteed a backpack.

Please note that each child must be present at the event to receive their backpack.

🚍 New This Year: Free Shuttle Service

To make attending easier for families, a free bus shuttle will run continuously between Eisenhower Science and Technology Leadership Academy and the Musselman Learning Center throughout the event.

Parking at Musselman is limited, so we encourage families to park at Eisenhower and take advantage of the shuttle service. Ample parking is available in Eisenhower's parking lots and along nearby streets. Limited parking is also available behind Family Dollar next to Musselman.

Clearly marked Shuttle Pick-Up and Shuttle Drop-Off signs will be located at both Eisenhower and Musselman to help families easily find where to wait for the bus.
