Lights, camera, action! Our 8th Grade Formal was a glamorous Hollywood-themed evening where students walked the red carpet in style. Dressed to impress, they posed for photos under sparkling lights, enjoyed music, dancing, and treats, and celebrated the end of middle school like true stars. It was a memorable night filled with laughter, friendship, and a touch of movie magic!

On May 22nd the National Junior Honor Society students along with the Blockson Eagle Ambassadors traveled to Pocono Valley Resort for a fun filled day. Despite the rain the students were able to connect with students from various schools in our area to work on the qualities it takes to be a leader. The students were able to test their limits and explore new adventures through zip lining, climbing ropes or swimming. Our students were able to overcome the obstacles in their way and went to new heights literally and figuratively!

We’re proud to recognize our own Harbyn Leinbach as one of 500 National Junior Honor Society students across the US and the only NASD middle schooler who was selected for the 2025 Outstanding Achievement Award! These exceptional middle level students exemplify the five pillars of NJHS: scholarship, service, leadership, character, and citizenship. He will receive a $500 college savings award to support his future education. We are so proud of Harbyn and his accomplishments! The Phillies, Citizens, and NBC10/Telemundo62 welcomed our students to Citizens Bank Park for the 11th annual Weather Education Day that took place on Wednesday, May 14. NBC10/Telemundo62 First Alert Weather Team members provided an educational experience focused on weather. Speaking of weather, our scholars braved torrential downpours to watch the Phils take on the St. Louis Cardinals. Despite the rainy weather, the Phillies won 2-1.

Good afternoon, Blockson families!
Our Student Council's last event of the year, the Spring Fling, is still on for today from 4-6! Our event will have a football tire toss, soccer shootout game, inflatable skee ball, sand art, tie dye, slime making, rock painting, and more! There will also be freshly popped popcorn from our popcorn machine, sno cones, and other snacks.
The weather is not stopping us. In fact, the sun is supposed to come out after today's storms! We will be located in the cafeteria, and the parking lot near the cafeteria.
