Our hallways were full of excitement this morning as students and staff brought their favorite book characters to life during our annual Book Character Parade! 📚👧🦸♂️ From classic storybook heroes to imaginative new favorites, our students proudly showed off their creativity and love of reading.
A big thank you to our families who joined us and cheered on the fun—and to our staff for helping make this beloved PVF tradition such a success. 💙🧡

Mrs. Altieri’s class took a virtual journey to France to learn about the world-famous Lascaux Cave and its incredible prehistoric artwork. After reading and discussing the cave paintings, students created their own masterpieces on “pretend caves” — bringing ancient art to life in the classroom! 🐂🖐️ #PVFProud #StudentArtists #LearningThroughCreativity

A huge thank-you to John Shoen from Shoen Safety for visiting our 4th graders yesterday! 🩺👏 Students learned life-saving skills, including how to perform CPR and what to do if someone is choking or bleeding. We’re so grateful for this hands-on, engaging lesson that empowered our students to stay calm and help others in an emergency. 💙 #PVFProud #ShoenSafety #FutureHelpers

📚✨ Third Grade Rotary Club Visit! ✨📚 Our 3rd graders had a wonderful visit from the Norristown Rotary Club this morning! Every student received their very own English and Spanish dictionary — a generous gift that sparked excitement and curiosity across the grade.
Students were eager to ask questions about the Rotary Club’s mission and community service, and their faces lit up as they flipped through their new dictionaries for the first time!

Mrs. Altieri's class learned about the Indian holiday Diwali. The students made Rangoli art patterns to celebrate the holiday.
Congratulations to some of our Paul V. Fly winners of the "Perfect Start" campaign! The district held a raffle of all eligible students who had perfect attendance from September 2nd-October 15th, and 22 PVF students won! Thank you for partnering with us to maintain regular school attendance.

What an amazing experience our students had with the Mariachi Rey Azteca band during our Hispanic Heritage Month celebration! 🎉
Mariachi Rey Azteca — a talented Mexican music group known for their authentic renditions of rancheras, corridos, and sones — filled our school with music, culture, and joy. Students had a blast singing and dancing along to traditional favorites like La Cucaracha and De Colores, as well as fun variations of La Bamba, The Chicken Dance, and even Baby Shark! 🐔🦈💃
It was a fun, interactive assembly that our students will never forget!

Our High School Raices students celebrated Hispanic Heritage Month with our First Graders. They read stories and helped students make crafts from different Hispanic countries. It was an amazing day!
