Our third grade students had an exciting visit to FluxSpace where they explored the world of STEM through hands-on challenges and teamwork! Students worked together to build the tallest structure, experimented with ways to float a ping pong ball, and used their creativity to design and create prototypes for new toys. It was a fun-filled day of problem-solving, innovation, and learning!

Mr. Patti held a music recruitment assembly for our upcoming 2nd and 3rd graders! 🎶 Students had the opportunity to learn about the different instruments they can play and experience the excitement of joining our music program. We loved seeing their enthusiasm and curiosity as they explored the world of music! 🎺🎻🥁

Thank you, Mr. Patti, for sharing your passion for music with our students and inspiring our future musicians!

Yesterday, our 3rd graders had the opportunity to participate in a beautiful Japanese tea ceremony experience connected to their Module 3 reading study of Tea with Milk and Grandfather’s Journey by Allen Say.

Students learned about important Japanese traditions and vocabulary including kimono, calligraphy, matcha tea, ceremony, and tradition. They also watched a traditional tea ceremony demonstration and sampled matcha tea along with a special Japanese sweet treat.

A huge thank you to Sachiko and the friends from the Chado Urasenke Tankokai Philadelphia for sharing their time, culture, and traditions with our students. Experiences like these help bring learning to life in meaningful and memorable ways! 🍵
