In Library, Mrs. McGuire’s 4th grade students put their math skills to delicious use while making homemade dog treats to celebrate Nutmeg’s birthday! 🐾🎉 The class carefully followed a recipe, practicing how to measure ingredients and add fractions as they worked.

Some 2nd grade students got the opportunity to meet Nutmeg and learn all about her important job as a service dog and how she helps others every day.

In celebration of Martin Luther King Day, our students came together to honor Dr. King's message of kindness, unity, and love. Each student traced and cut out their hand and wrote five words that they believe help make our school and world a better place.

Displayed together in the shape of the word KINDNESS, these hands remind us that when we choose caring words and actions, we can work together to create a stronger, more loving community!

Mrs. Sagastume's 3rd grade ELA class had a heartwarming day. We had explored the central message of the book Extra Yarn—that giving back to others is the true way to feel joy! The class embraced this lesson by first reflecting on and writing about their own special gifts and how they can use them to help our community.

We then created cozy yarn hearts for the special people in our lives, and finally, worked together to make beautiful, no-sew blankets, which Mrs. Sagstume will donate to the @RMHC (Ronald McDonald House Charities) for their welcome bags. We are incredibly proud of the students' generosity and teamwork today! 💙
