Art Goes to School visited Marshall Street School during art class and brought twenty different works of art for the students to explore. Students in grades kindergarten through 4th discussed the artwork, learned new vocabulary, played games, and made connections.

Third graders composed thank you cards for the season of giving.

Kindergartners made "Thankful Trees" during Health class! They discovered that they are thankful for a great many things in their lives.

Girls Inc. came to Marshall Street to talk to our girls in third and fourth grade! The girls learned about using "I statements." The also talked about words that squash us and words that light us up. The girls practiced using "I statements" to respond when they’re feeling different ways. We are so glad they came to visit; the girls loved it! 💪😍

Holiday Sweater Cookie Decorating! Mrs. Harrington's and Miss Murray's MDS class decorated sweater cookies to practice fine motor skills and for a sweet treat. Yum! 😋

Nutmeg the therapy dog visited Mrs. Bowen’s first grade classroom along with Mary Anders, the Deputy Executive Director for the Montgomery Child Advocacy Project. Ms. Anders gives presentations about body safety and online/social media throughout elementary schools in the Norristown Area School District.

(ES): En la escuela primaria Marshall Street, 23 estudiantes de kínder a cuarto grado recibieron una grata sorpresa: una bicicleta gratis gracias a Dom Fixes Bikes, como parte de su campaña de donación de bicicletas navideñas. Cada estudiante también recibió un casco, una botella de agua, gafas de sol y un cómodo conjunto de pijama. Gracias a Dom Fixes Bikes por compartir la alegría navideña y apoyar a nuestros estudiantes.

(EN): At Marshall Street Elementary, 23 students in grades K-4 were surprised with a free bike through Dom Fixes Bikes as part of their Holiday Bike Drive. Each student also received a helmet, water bottle, sunglasses, and a cozy set of pajamas. We are grateful to Dom Fixes Bikes for spreading holiday joy and supporting our students.

Second graders enjoyed the climbing wall! Climbing boosts physical skills , develops cognitive abilities, builds confidence & resilience, and fosters social skills, all while being a fun, full-body workout. 💪❤️

Kindergarten learned about primary colors and mixed red and yellow paint to make orange. We drew and painted apples for a cute still life project with real fabric. 🍎

First grade students learned about owls and created an owl collage by ripping paper and adding details! 🦉
