Marshall Street’s Annual Book Character Parade was a huge success! Due to the rain, each grade paraded through the school. Everyone enjoyed the creative costumes inspired by our favorite book characters! 📚🚶🏽♀️🚶🏻🚶🏾♂️👑👩🏻⚕️👻🧑🏼🚒👮🏽










Marshall Street’s Annual Fall Fest was lots of fun! Our Kindergarten families enjoyed fall games, cookie decorating, and pumpkin painting! 🍁🎃🍂😀

Second grade enjoyed a field trip to Styer Orchards! Students took a hayride, picked apples, and found just the perfect pumpkin in the patch. Lots of fun memories were made as well as connections to our ELA unit on seasonal changes! 🚜🍎🎃🍂🚌 📚







Marshall Street teachers and staff had a “Pink Out” event to show support for Breast Cancer Awareness Month. 👚💖 Our “Casual for a Cause” donations will go to the Unite for HER organization. www.uniteforher.org

Kindergarten students visited Kohler Farms. They took a hay ride, picked pumpkins, and saw farm animals. 🚜 🦙 🎃









Third grade learned about Japanese American artist Yayoi Kusama and created their own dotted pumpkin and printed background to show complementary colors!
First grade learned about a pumpkin’s texture and drew a big pumpkin. Then we mixed primary color paint to make orange and green and painted their pumpkins. Last, we created a nighttime background using oil pastels.
Kindergarten learned about sculpture and created their own rainbow paper line sculptures!
Second graders listened to The Perfectly Imperfect Pumpkin by Rachel Cook and learned to be themselves and embrace their uniqueness. Then students created their own special pumpkin out of clay using form, color, and texture!


Nutmeg the therapy dog visited Mrs. Truskowski’s classroom along with Mary Anders, the Deputy Executive Director for the Montgomery Child Advocacy Project. Ms. Anders gives presentations about body safety and online/social media throughout elementary schools in the Norristown Area School District. She was accompanied by Officer DiNolfo from the West Norriton Police Department, and Ms. Katie Moyer.




Marshall Street students and staff had so much fun celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month with an assembly on Friday! 🎉 Students learned about Mexican traditions from Mrs. Maria Falco, a former Marshall Street teacher. 🇲🇽 First graders performed a traditional Mexican dance and the whole school enjoyed a dance party featuring Hispanic music. 🎶




Students celebrated a full week of spirit days to celebrate Hispanic Heritage! 🎉 On “Traditional Clothing Culture Day” students wore traditional clothing from their heritage.
