🍎 Learning Comes to Life in Mrs. Altieri’s WIN Class!
After reading Johnny Appleseed, students took their learning to the next level with a hands-on science experiment—testing which substances keep apples from turning brown! A perfect mix of reading, science, and fun as our students made real-world connections and learned together. 🍏✨ #FlyWithPride

This morning, we had our final event of the 2025-2026 school year! Students gathered to decorate their own paws and celebrate our "paw"some differences! We are so proud of PVF students for joining together and supporting one another.

The Jubilee is this Friday, May 8th! Wristbands will be available and sold at the door if you did not pre-purchase them.

As we wrap up the month of April in celebration of Autism Awareness Month, our students had the opportunity to participate in a special assembly with Robbie’s World 💙
Robbie’s World is an engaging and fun program that helps students better understand autism by teaching the importance of kindness, inclusion, and celebrating differences. Through interactive storytelling and meaningful lessons, students learned that everyone’s brain works in unique ways—and that those differences are what make our school community so special.
We are so proud of our students for being thoughtful, respectful, and open to learning how to be supportive friends to all. Together, we continue to build a school environment where everyone feels seen, valued, and included.

🐣💛 Something exciting is about to hatch at PVF! 🐼
We are getting closer and closer to welcoming our chicks! Mrs. Schell’s students had a hands-on opportunity to feel, observe, and care for the eggs as we patiently wait for them to hatch.
The excitement is building each day as our students learn about responsibility, life cycles, and what it means to care for something special. You can see the curiosity and joy all over their faces!
We can’t wait to share the big moment with our Panda community when the chicks arrive! 🐥✨

Our March PBIS raffles allowed students to vote for silly things with their hard earned Golden Tickets! Our 3rd place winners, Mrs. Wechsler and Ms. Lowry, walked around doing the 6-7 chant today with a fun way to tie it into reading!
Egg-citing things are happening in Mrs. Acquaviva’s classroom! 🐣
Our chick eggs officially arrived today, and we are ready to begin our hatching journey! Over the past few days, our students have been busy learning all about embryology—exploring how chicks grow and develop inside the egg.
Students are so excited to take on the responsibility of helping care for the eggs and, soon, our baby chicks! Stay tuned as we watch this amazing life cycle unfold right before our eyes. 💛🐥

🎤 Student Voice in Action at PVF! 🐼✨
Today, our Student Advisory Council had an incredible opportunity to meet with Superintendent Mr. Dormer and Principal Dr. Smith to share their ideas and perspectives on how we can enhance the learning experience at Paul V. Fly Elementary School as it relates to this year's district budget.
Our students brought thoughtful, creative, and student-centered suggestions—from expanding after-school clubs and upgrading recess options, to improving classroom spaces and adding new opportunities that support both learning and well-being. 💡📚
At PVF, we believe our students are leaders, and their voices matter. This conversation is a powerful example of how we work together to make meaningful decisions that directly impact our school community.
We are proud of our students for speaking up, thinking big, and helping shape the future of PVF! 👏💙
