Hi PVF Families-
Here is another great reading resource for your children to use over the summer.
Read! Read! Read!

Thank you to Mrs. Avelar for hosting our final Golden Ticket reward of the year! Students worked together to create a beautiful mural inspired by Alma Thomas!

Thanks to a book donation from Nahjee Grant, a local author who runs a charity to provide free books to schools, Paul Fly students get to take home books of their choosing for summer reading! Our IST, Ms. Michelle DeMeno, put together take-home reading bags for many of our 1st-4th graders. The bags also include trick word lists and index cards for students to make flashcards for practice.

Thanks to our Elementary Curriculum Supervisor, Jen Lynch, Paul V. Fly Elementary School received a free pilot program of 1,000 decodable books! Selected students were able to take home 20 books each to keep at home and read throughout the summer. The students were so excited to take home their books and start reading with their families.

Thanks to Ryan Beltz, Executive Director of the Perkiomen Watershed Conservancy, and four career study students from Perkiomen Valley High School, our garden was cleaned up so that we can begin using it again to make science come alive through environmental sciences. We look forward to partnering with them in the fall to provide lessons and activities for our students.

First grade had a visit from the Audubon Society. We learned a lot about birds. A pigeon named CC is our new friend.

3rd & 4th grade library students had the option to color quilt squares and knot the comforter. It is being donated to a refugee through a relief organization.

Friday is our last school store of the year!
