We had such a fun time at the PFC Dance! 🕺💃 The music was great, the smiles were big, and the dance floor stayed busy all evening. Thank you to our amazing PFC for organizing such a wonderful event for our students and families — memories were definitely made!

Our first grade students enjoyed their Audubon pre-trip lesson! 🐾📚 They learned about animal adaptations and explored concepts from their Creature Features ELA unit to get ready for their upcoming field trip. We love seeing their excitement and curiosity grow as they prepare for this hands-on learning experience!

In Library, Mrs. McGuire’s 4th grade students put their math skills to delicious use while making homemade dog treats to celebrate Nutmeg’s birthday! 🐾🎉 The class carefully followed a recipe, practicing how to measure ingredients and add fractions as they worked.

Some 2nd grade students got the opportunity to meet Nutmeg and learn all about her important job as a service dog and how she helps others every day.

In celebration of Martin Luther King Day, our students came together to honor Dr. King's message of kindness, unity, and love. Each student traced and cut out their hand and wrote five words that they believe help make our school and world a better place.

Displayed together in the shape of the word KINDNESS, these hands remind us that when we choose caring words and actions, we can work together to create a stronger, more loving community!

(EN): 🚨❄️ Due to inclement weather, NASD schools and offices will be closed tomorrow, Tuesday, January 27, 2026. However, learning will continue through a Flexible Instructional Day (FID). Students and staff will follow a Virtual Day schedule.

Tomorrow was originally scheduled as an early dismissal day for grades 5–12. To honor that schedule and provide our staff their grading time, students in grades 5–12 will conclude their instructional day following the live, synchronous sessions in the morning.

Live synchronous instruction in the morning for all grade levels (K-12)
Independent asynchronous student assignments in the afternoon for elementary only (K-4)

Families jumped into games that build fact fluency and left with hands-on resources to keep the math fun going at home—cards, dice, and game directions included! 🎲🃏

Add in pretzels 🥨, raffles 🎟️, and lots of smiles, and it was a night to remember!

3rd Graders rotated around the grade on Monday for various Winter Activities. Ms. Fosco's STEAM rotation was a challenge of building and decorating a life size gingerbread house. The students used their creativity to design some neat houses!

Mrs. Sagastume's 3rd grade ELA class had a heartwarming day. We had explored the central message of the book Extra Yarn—that giving back to others is the true way to feel joy! The class embraced this lesson by first reflecting on and writing about their own special gifts and how they can use them to help our community.

We then created cozy yarn hearts for the special people in our lives, and finally, worked together to make beautiful, no-sew blankets, which Mrs. Sagstume will donate to the @RMHC (Ronald McDonald House Charities) for their welcome bags. We are incredibly proud of the students' generosity and teamwork today! 💙
