An incredible end to our Read Across America week. We wrapped up with some special guests from the high school. High school students visited classrooms and read The Word Collector. Students then chose their favorite words to place on their classroom word jars. We also celebrated our last day with a pajama day!
MLC students were shining extra BRIGHT today during Read Across America week. Students received sunglasses as they are shining bright for reading! Tomorrow we will wrap up our celebrations with a pajama day, get cozy with a good book!
Read Across America week is in full swing here at MLC. Students are taking place in a book tournament all week and voting on their favorite books each day. Yesterday, students read the stories "Senorita Mariposa" by Ben Gundersheimer and "The Feelings Book" by Todd Parr. Yesterday's winner was Senorita Mariposa! What a way to kick off our week and a beautiful story to share with our students.
Today we kicked off our Read Across America celebrations! Students wore their favorite sports jersey's to celebrate. Check out how we will be celebrating for the duration of the school week.

Yesterday, MLC students celebrated the 100th day of school! Our Kindergartener's are officially 100 days smarter! Your school family is so proud of your hard work day in and day out. Our student's celebrated school wide by showing their 100 day pride. Some students dressed in costumes as if they were "100" years old, created 100 day projects at home with their families, and participated in fun activities in their classrooms. Your school family is so proud of your hard work, keep it up MLC!

Musselman students have started their lessons about farm life. In Wit & Wisdom, students will be exploring life on the farm and what is true about real farm animals. Ms. McHenry’s class explored videos from her friend’s farm. They learned that he has 41 alpacas and 7 llamas and watched how the animals interact together. Super awesome opportunity to make connections to our learning!

Hi everybody, we hope this message finds you as well as possible. With the recent changes to SNAP benefits, we wanted increase awareness around Montgomery County’s Food Share programs in addition to community resources in the Norristown area. While we know a list of resources doesn’t always feel like the most comforting or helpful solution, we hope it can be a starting point. It is through our communities that we take care of ourselves and each other. You deserve access to what you need. We know that the struggle can be intense and some days it seems like things only continue to get harder. We want to try our best to be here for you however we can be.
