(EN): 🎉💙 We are excited to share that Dr. Taneeka Harper is transitioning from Assistant Principal at East Norriton Middle School to Principal at Marshall Street Elementary School! She will begin her new role on Monday, July 21, 2025.

East Norriton will deeply miss Dr. Harper's incredible leadership and dedication to our students, staff, and families. At the same time, we're thrilled to welcome her to the Marshall Street community, where she'll continue empowering students to find their voices and celebrate our district's diversity. Last week, MSS welcomed local author Melissa Trempe, who shared her new book *Ladybug Launch* with grades K-4. She hosted a writing workshop for 4th graders and inspired all with her message of perseverance: "never give up" on the path to publication! #AuthorVisit #Inspiration

However, learning will continue through a Flexible Instructional Day (FID). We had lots of fun at Marshall Street this past week! Spirit week, Mystery Motivator cookie decorating, a holiday sing-a-long, and a visit from a special Gingerbread friend! Happy holidays everyone. Enjoy the winter break and stay safe and healthy!

The district is hosting "A Very Merry Sing Along" at the high school stadium this evening at 6:00pm. It is a free outdoor event, dress warmly and come and sing with students from all over the district!

Thank you to everyone who came out to celebrate Fall Fest with our Kindergarten students and teachers! Everyone had a blast!

Last week was Fire Prevention week across the country. West Norriton Fire Department visited Marshall Street on Thursday to conduct a fire drill and teach students about the responsibilities of the fire department and equipment used. Thank you West Norriton Fire Department!

Last week, 4th grade students visited Riverbend! Students have lessons with the instructors in class and then follow up with hands on experiences, then another lesson with the instructors in class will be held this week!

The Ice Cream Social was a huge hit last evening as we dished out around 500 bowls of ice cream. Thank you to all the families who came out for a fun evening! A huge THANK YOU goes out to the teachers who helped to scoop and serve last evening. We can't do it without you!
