The Pennsylvania Branch of the International Dyslexia Association (PBIDA) facilitated a professional learning experience with Norristown's elementary school principals, reading specialists, and district leadership at Cole Manor Elementary School. The participants learned about dyslexia, experienced a "simulation" to feel the experience of being a dyslexic learner in a classroom setting, and discussed how structured literacy provides the necessary instruction for all of our district children to learn how to read.

March is Music in Our Schools Month! We are so glad that music is part of our students’ education here at Whitehall. Students in Second, Third, and Fourth grade all wrote about why they love music or why they think it is important to have music in school. Check out our display in the front lobby.
