The students were rewarded with a medal, a prize, and due to a partnership with the Elmwood Park Zoo two free admission tickets to the zoo. Today, as a school, we recognized World Down Syndrome Day by “rocking our socks” and celebrating what makes each of us unique!
Students from Ms. McCormick’s class designed and colored their own creative sock patterns, practicing self expression and individuality. We loved seeing everyone participate by wearing colorful, mismatched socks to spread awareness, kindness, and inclusion.
