Each week Golden PAWS are awarded to a student in each grade for going above and beyond and that exemplifies the quality of the month. In February we are focusing on Gratitude. The students were rewarded with a medal, a prize, and due to a partnership with the Elmwood Park Zoo two free admission tickets to the zoo. Congratulations to our winners and a special thank you to the Elmwood Park Zoo.

Ms.Hohenstein and Ms. McCormick hosted the 2026 Winter Olympics! ❄️🏅
Our athletes showed up ready to compete and have fun. From proudly carrying the Olympic torches and earning medals to hands on events like Bee-Bot Curling, crafts, and interactive differentiated academic skill challenges, every student had a chance to shine.
We saw problem solving, teamwork, and so much joy as students practiced skills, cheered for friends and celebrated their hard work. A perfect reminder that everyone is an athlete with hard work and determination.

The students in 4th Grade created a comic strip of cyberbullying and how to be an upstander. This student did a fabulous job conveying how to be an upstander to cyberbullying.

Today the Best Buddies program came together for a cozy and meaningful reading experience! Whitehall 4th grade student supported their peer buddies by helping select books, reading together, and building understanding of the stories. Students enjoyed hot chocolate while reading in a cozy space. Making this a special time filled with friendship, support, and shared learning.

A HUGE thank you to Reading is Fundamental (RIF) for providing our 1st graders with three new books to keep! They were so excited to pick out books of their choice and share them with their family. Happy reading!
