What an AMAZING day for our kindergarten students during our Zoo on Wheels visit! 🐍🦎🦔🐢
Our young learners had the opportunity to explore and learn about a variety of incredible animals through a fun, hands-on experience filled with excitement and discovery! But the fun didn’t stop there…
Each student also adopted their very own stuffed animal and became habitat designers by creating a cozy, safe, and creative home for their new animal friend! 🏡🐾
From animal exploration to imaginative habitat building, the day was filled with learning, creativity, laughter, and smiles from start to finish! We love seeing our students engage in experiences that bring learning to life! 💚🐼

Our students voted… and the silly string was flying! 😂🎉🦸♂️🦸♀️
As part of one of our PBIS incentives, representatives from each class had the opportunity to SILLY STRING Dr. Smith and Mrs. Prodoehl — and let’s just say the students did NOT hold back! 🤣🎊
There were tons of laughs, excited cheers, and LOTS of sticky silly string flying everywhere! What a fun way to celebrate our students and continue building a positive, connected, and joyful school community at PVF! 💙🐼
We think the students may have enjoyed this incentive just a little TOO much! 😆

🍎 Learning Comes to Life in Mrs. Altieri’s WIN Class!
After reading Johnny Appleseed, students took their learning to the next level with a hands-on science experiment—testing which substances keep apples from turning brown! A perfect mix of reading, science, and fun as our students made real-world connections and learned together. 🍏✨ #FlyWithPride

This morning, we had our final event of the 2025-2026 school year! Students gathered to decorate their own paws and celebrate our "paw"some differences! We are so proud of PVF students for joining together and supporting one another.

The Jubilee is this Friday, May 8th! Wristbands will be available and sold at the door if you did not pre-purchase them.

As we wrap up the month of April in celebration of Autism Awareness Month, our students had the opportunity to participate in a special assembly with Robbie’s World 💙
Robbie’s World is an engaging and fun program that helps students better understand autism by teaching the importance of kindness, inclusion, and celebrating differences. Through interactive storytelling and meaningful lessons, students learned that everyone’s brain works in unique ways—and that those differences are what make our school community so special.
We are so proud of our students for being thoughtful, respectful, and open to learning how to be supportive friends to all. Together, we continue to build a school environment where everyone feels seen, valued, and included.

🐣💛 Something exciting is about to hatch at PVF! 🐼
We are getting closer and closer to welcoming our chicks! Mrs. Schell’s students had a hands-on opportunity to feel, observe, and care for the eggs as we patiently wait for them to hatch.
The excitement is building each day as our students learn about responsibility, life cycles, and what it means to care for something special. You can see the curiosity and joy all over their faces!
We can’t wait to share the big moment with our Panda community when the chicks arrive! 🐥✨

🧩📚 Celebrating Autism Awareness Month at PVF! 💙🐼
Today, we had the honor of welcoming Mr. Steven Willis, Chief Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging Officer, as our special guest reader!
Mr. Willis joined us via livestream to share the powerful story All My Stripes, helping our students better understand and celebrate the unique qualities that make each of us special. 🌟
Our classrooms were fully engaged as students listened, reflected, and connected to an important message of acceptance, empathy, and belonging. Moments like this remind us of the importance of creating a school community where every student feels seen, valued, and celebrated.

We are so proud of our students for their hard work on last week’s ELA PSSA! Thank you, families, for your incredible support with attendance—this was one of our strongest PSSA testing weeks ever!

For Earth Day, our K-1 Life Skills students talked about how important it is to protect our planet and how we each play a unique role in what makes the Earth special.

Tomorrow is our first day of ELA PSSA testing for our 3rd and 4th grade students! Check out the photo below for testing tips to ensure success on the test!

🎶 A Round of Applause for Our 3rd & 4th Grade Musicians! 🎶
Last week, our talented 3rd and 4th grade Band and Orchestra students performed for our parents and guests—and this afternoon, they took the stage again for the entire school!
Under the direction of Mr. Eric Norton, and with the accompaniment of Mrs. Emily Bulman and her student teacher, our students delivered an outstanding performance. From the first note to the final bow, they showed dedication, confidence, and pride in their work.
We are proud of their hard work and the effort they put into preparing for these performances! 👏

Our March PBIS raffles allowed students to vote for silly things with their hard earned Golden Tickets! Our 3rd place winners, Mrs. Wechsler and Ms. Lowry, walked around doing the 6-7 chant today with a fun way to tie it into reading!
