Our second graders had a special pollinator presentation today to enhance the learning taking place through our new science curriculum! Students learned more about pollinators, bees, pollinator gardens, and the important role these plants and animals play in our environment. 🌱🐝🌸
As you can see from all those hands in the air, our students had LOTS of questions! 🙋♀️🙋♂️ A huge thank you to Ms. Paige from Journey Works for sharing her knowledge, answering our students’ questions, and helping bring their science learning to life.

⭕ Kindergarten PE Fun! 🏃♀️🏃♂️
Our Kindergarten students were on the move in PE today! Using hula hoops, students practiced jumping forward, backward, and side-to-side while building coordination, spatial awareness, listening skills, and following directions.
Students learned how to use the equipment safely and responsibly before putting their skills into action—including spinning their hoops while moving to music! 🎶⭕ There were lots of smiles, movement, and learning throughout the gym!
A fun way for our youngest Pandas to build important skills while staying active! 💙🐾

💙Our First Best Buddies Event of the School Year!💙
We kicked off our first Best Buddies event of the school year this morning! Students visited our Low Incidence classrooms, where they learned all about what best buddies is and the importance of friendship, inclusion, and building connections with others.
Students then teamed up with their buddies and explored a variety of fun sensory centers together. From hands-on activities to sensory experiences, everyone had the opportunity to learn and connect!

Our 2nd grade scientists were busy investigating pollinators and taking a closer look at bees! 🔍🐝 Students observed bees, shared what they noticed, and created scientific drawings based on their observations.
Next, our young scientists will continue their investigation by learning about the process of pollination and exploring how bees and lilies work together in this important process. 🌸🐝

To kick off their study of the heart, Mrs. Windheim's fourth graders completed a fun experiment to watch their little pulses doing their job! 💓 Our hearts are amazing little pumps, sending blood zooming through our bodies to keep us healthy.
