This week, Ms. McCormick’s class explored paletas as part of highlighting Hispanic Heritage Month. They talked about how food can be an important part of culture, traditions, and community. Students learned about paleteros and how they bring treats to neighborhoods, connect families, and bring people together.
Today, Ms. McCormick’s class put their learning into action and made their own strawberry paletas! Students practiced following directions, sequencing steps, making choices, communication, and hands on life skills while creating a delicious treat together.
