Mrs. Crim's class recess reward for best attendance grade level in October

Fourth grade students designed and constructed models of Wind Turbines while learning about energy conversion.

Thank you for supporting our book fair, it was a huge success! The students had a great time shopping and look forward to the next one in March! Keep reading!

Miss Hohenstein’s and Miss McCormick’s classes honored Veterans Day with a visit from a special guest reader! Students enjoyed hearing the story and asking the U.S. Marine questions about his job in the military. After the reading, students gave him hand made cards to thank him for his service to our country.

Today we had a visit from the Walnut Street Theater who put on a performance of Grace for President. Based on the book this story is about when Grace doesn’t see a female face on a poster of US presidents, she decides to be the president of her class at school. But she soon realizes that she has entered a tough race where being the best candidate doesn’t always mean being the most popular. Grace for President is a fun introduction to the electoral system, and teaches the value of hard work, courage, and independent thought.

We had 934 Paws in the month of October. 26 PAWSOME students and 21 Golden Paws.
Due to a donation by the Elmwood Park Zoo all Golden Paw winners received two free tickets to the zoo.
All PAWSOME students receive a free Applebee's kid's meal.

Each week a Golden Paw is awarded to a student in each grade for going above and beyond and that exemplifies the quality of the month. This month we focused on Citizenship. The students were rewarded with a medal, a prize, and due to a partnership with the Elmwood Park Zoo two free admission tickets to the zoo. Congratulations to our winners and a special thank you to the Elmwood Park Zoo.

As an additional reward, all Golden PAWS students each month will have their names added to a drawing to win a special lunch. Today, our winner for the month of October was able to choose a friend and have lunch with several members from the West Norriton Police Department. Thank you to Detective Chief Morris, Detective Wassmer, and Officer DiNolfi for celebrating our Most Valuable students at Whitehall.

Whitehall recently had a Book Character Day and we had two Mirabels from Encanto!

Important Information: Today is a full day at Whitehall. The Early Dismissal is for Middle School and High School only. Tomorrow, November 4 there is no school for election day.

Thank you to the Rotary Club for the wonderful presentation this week to the Third Graders! The Spanish-English dictionaries are a great reference for our students to use.

On Thursday 1st Grade celebrated Pumpkin Day with fun classroom activities.
