Dear NASD Families,

We hope this message finds you safe and well after the long weekend. We are writing to inform you that all Norristown Area School District schools will be open for in-person learning tomorrow, Tuesday, January 21, 2025. Schools will operate on a normal schedule, starting on time.

As temperatures are expected to remain very cold, we encourage all students to dress warmly and layer their clothing to ensure they stay comfortable throughout the day. Please ensure students bring their Chromebooks and any materials needed for the day.

During this time, we also want to emphasize that Norristown Area School District remains dedicated to the safety, respect, and inclusion of all students, regardless of their background or circumstances. As outlined in our recently adopted Welcoming Schools Resolution, our schools are places where each and every child is valued, affirmed, and respected.

We understand that national conversations and local events can sometimes create uncertainty. Please know that NASD is committed to ensuring our schools are safe spaces where each and every student can focus on learning and growing, free from discrimination or harassment based on ancestry, national origin, language, or immigration status.
