This Community Bulletin Board is a place to promote community events, programs and activities in Norristown, West Norriton, and East Norriton that may be of interest to the greater NASD community. Any questions may be directed to our Communications Specialist, Jillian Williamson.
Information posted here should not be interpreted as being sponsored by or endorsed by the district, but rather may be of interest to members of our community.

St Titus Flea Market - Saturday, September 21, 2024 from 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM
We are offering tables to any school team or group, ex. football team, chess team, etc. for $15.00 if they would like to fundraise for their team or group. They can sell items, or have an activity, or just a bucket to drop cash in, to draw customers over to donate to their group.
If students need service hours, we will be happy to have them help out with selling 50/50 tickets for us, in the kitchen selling food, set up or break down.

Trunk of Treat - Friday, October 25, 2024 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM
Música, diversiones y dulces por todo. It's that time of year - Halloween Trunk or Treat ! Every year our diocese offers children in and around the Norristown area a safe and fun place to go trick or treating. We will have food trucks, music, selfie station, prizes and PLENTY of candy. Trunk or Treat is Rain or Shine! Event will be indoors (same location) if raining.

Navegando Juntes - Postsecondary Readiness Research - September through December
The goal of this project, Navegando Juntes, is to support high school students in achieving their postsecondary dreams by bringing together faculty and students from the University of Pennsylvania, community members from the Center for Culture, Art, Training, and Education (CCATE.org), students and parents in the Norristown area, and local educators to conduct community-based, intergenerational participatory action research with the goal of supporting high school students in achieving their dreams.
In 2024-2025, this group will meet one Saturday a month to conduct research together on postsecondary readiness and related issues such as supporting students’ socio-emotional well-being and mental health, and improving communication between students and their parents, and between families and schools so that upon graduation, high school graduates are well-equipped to achieve their dreams. Our goal is to use findings from this research to inform policy and practice for postsecondary readiness in local universities, schools, and organizations and schools. We invite local educators, administrators, parents and high school students to join us as partners in this exciting and important work!
